Employee Spotlight: January

Our January Employee Spotlight belongs to Ben Beggs, redIQ’s VP of Sales & Marketing, Innovation Technology. Although born in Germany, Ben grew up in small town outside Columbus, Ohio. His dad ran Dairy Queen franchises, so Ben knows well how to curl a cone! His mom ran a daycare out of their home where he had snack after school with all the other kids until he went to college. Ben attended Sarah Lawrence College in NY, spent a year at Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, and continued his studies at the New School in NYC.

Ben’s working career, other than Dairy Queen, includes an organic Christmas tree farm, lifeguarding, waiting tables and real estate brokering until 2008. Ben then spent the next 10 years in tech—mobile tech startups and data companies. Before redIQ, Ben worked for an Alphabet subsidiary that focused on digital master planning and infrastructure projects for marco-level spaces.

Ben enjoys skiing and surfing, both cooking and hosting events, reading, and playing both guitar and drums. Most of all, he loves time with his wife, Caitlin; Daughter, Beatrice; and son, Theodore.

Word of wisdom from Ben: “If you want to travel fast, go alone. If you want to travel far, go together.” Ben wants to go far and is taking redIQ with him—thanks for everything you do to make redIQ the best it can be, Ben!
